FAQ

1. Does your work have warranty?

Yes we warranty all workmanship on our decks, fences and patios for a term of 1 year after completion.  Sod and tree planting are done according to suppliers standards.

2. What types of materials do you use for your decks?

We use only pressure treated wood for the framing portion of your deck and you get the choice of what type of top decking you would like.  We do not build deck with non treated lumber as they have a substantially shorter life span.  All of our decks are built to standards that exceed the building codes and therefore you can rest assured you have the best product when we are finished.

3. How deep in the ground do you put deck piles and fence posts?

All of our deck piles are a minimum of 4ft in the ground to provide proper support for your deck.  Fence posts are put a minimum of 3ft in the ground and in some cases a the gate posts are deeper than 3ft to support the weight of your gate and make sure it does not shift.

4. Why are composite decks so expensive compared to wood?

Composite decks are built the same way as any other deck.  It is the top deck boards that cost more and there are many different types of composite.  The most cost efficient deck is a pressure treated deck followed by cedar and then composite.

5. Which fence style is the most common?

We build a lot of fences in a year and by far the most common is a Fortress style fence.  They are the strongest and built to stand the test of time.  Whether you use 4×4, 4×6 or 6×6 post you will be extremely pleased with your finished product.
